Taking place at Peterborough Cathedral on 13th October, Peterborough Business Network in the ‘Heart of the City’ is being organised, hosted and sponsored by Hegarty, founders of Your Business Network, alongside Peterborough Cathedral and its Heart of the City partnership.
Under the theme ‘At the heart of business. At the heart of Peterborough.’, the event will explore the businesses, partnerships and regeneration shaping the city’s future, while creating an opportunity for people from across Peterborough’s business community to connect.
For us, the event has particular significance. Our firm was established in Peterborough in 1974 and has grown alongside the city for more than 50 years, supporting generations of local individuals, families and businesses. Today, we remain proud of our Peterborough roots and committed to playing an active role in the community we call home.
Tony Gardiner, Business Development Manager at Hegarty, said:
“Peterborough has been at the heart of Hegarty since the firm was established here more than 50 years ago. We have seen the city grow and change considerably during that time, so we are incredibly proud to be bringing its business community together for an evening that looks positively towards what comes next.
“There is a great deal happening across Peterborough, and we want this event to celebrate that. By bringing businesses, organisations and people together in such a special setting, we hope to encourage new connections, showcase some of the positive work already taking place and start conversations about how we can all contribute to a thriving future for our city.”
Pep Cipriano, COO of Peterborough Positive, will explore the work being undertaken to create a vibrant city centre for all, including regeneration, investment and Peterborough Positive’s plans for its next five years.
Jack Pishhorn, COO of Peterborough Cathedral, will introduce the Cathedral’s Heart of the City programme and discuss how stronger partnerships between the Cathedral and Peterborough’s business community can support the city’s cultural, economic and community life.
Completing the speaker line-up, Al Kingsley MBE, Group CEO of NetSupport Limited, will look at Peterborough’s future through the lens of skills and economic growth, exploring the connection between education, the needs of local employers and investment in the city.
Alongside the talks, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy food and refreshments and network with fellow businesses in the historic surroundings of Peterborough Cathedral.
