    Benjamin Parker

    Solicitor | Family

Benjamin joined Hegarty in 2023 as a solicitor in the family department advising clients predominantly in divorce and financial settlement cases.

Prior to qualifying as a solicitor in 2019, Benjamin read English at university and achieved a First-class BA Honours degree. He then joined the British Army in 2013 attending The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and he commissioned into The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. He left the regular Army in November 2016 and is currently a Captain in the Army Reserves.

On leaving the regular Army, Benjamin went on to achieve his long-term aspiration of becoming a solicitor by studying the GDL conversion course into Law, later achieving a Commendation in the Legal Practice Course that followed.

Benjamin believes in providing pragmatic, comprehensive advice; always mindful of the need for contested Court proceedings throughout his clients’ cases.

Benjamin is a member of Resolution. As a member of Resolution he is signed up to a Code of Practice that promotes a constructive approach to family issues. For more information on what being a member of Resolution means visit www.resolution.org.uk.

Benjamin is married to Alice and they have recently welcomed the birth of their first children, twins, Mary and Albert and they all live with a somewhat untidy but courageous and loyal miniature wire-haired Dachshund, Otto, and their regal British Blue cat, Lord Squilliam.

Outside of work and spending time with his young family, he commits his time to the Army Reserves, but he also enjoys playing cricket for Burghley Park Cricket Club and fly fishing.
