01778 230 120 01778 230 129 enquiries@hegarty.co.ukBenjamin qualified as a solicitor in 2019 and joined Hegarty in 2023 in the Family department advising clients on all matters concerning relationship disputes. From divorce and matrimonial finance settlements which can include pensions, businesses, and children; to disputes between unmarried couples involving ownership of property in addition to issues of cohabitation where Benjamin advises and represents clients in court in non-molestation or occupation order proceedings.
In the course of these disputes Benjamin will also advise on and draft Financial Orders, Pre/Post Nuptial agreements, Cohabitation agreements and Settlement agreements.
Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, Benjamin read English at university and achieved a First-class BA Honours degree. He was an officer in the British Army prior to his legal career and is a Captain in the Army Reserves.
He later achieved a Commendation in the Legal Practice Course before training to become a solicitor.
Benjamin is a member of Resolution which means he adheres to the organisation’s code of practice as well as believing in providing pragmatic, comprehensive advice. He is a trained advocate and will provide representation in court, ever determined to ensure a successful end state for his clients.
Outside of work and spending time with his young family, he commits his time to the Army Reserves, but he also enjoys playing cricket for Burghley Park Cricket Club and fly fishing.
