  • Peterborough Business Network in the 'Heart of the City'

    13th October, 6:30 - 8:30 PM

An extra special Peterborough Business Network at Peterborough Cathedral

At the heart of business. At the heart of Peterborough.

An evening exploring the businesses, partnerships and regeneration shaping our city's future.

Businesses from across Peterborough and the surrounding region are being invited to take part in a special evening of insight, discussion and networking as Hegarty, founders of Your Business Network, partner with Peterborough Cathedral for an exclusive event supporting the Cathedral's Heart of the City campaign.

Taking place on 13th October at Peterborough Cathedral, the event will bring together business leaders, professionals, civic representatives and organisations from across the city to explore one central theme: the future of Peterborough's business landscape and the opportunities being created through regeneration, investment and growth.

    Our key speakers

Al Kingsley MBE - Group CEO - NetSupport Limited

Building Peterborough's Future: skills, growth and the case for optimism

Peterborough is changing faster than most people realise. A new university graduated its latest students in the Cathedral itself, £47.8m is going into the Station Quarter right now, and the region's growth plan aims to at least double a £31bn economy by 2050.

In this talk, Al Kingsley MBE, CEO of NetSupport, chair of Hampton Academies Trust and a long-standing champion of skills and education in the city, follows the golden thread from classroom to economy: why the skills pipeline starts at five, not eighteen, what local employers say they actually need, and how national growth plans translate into real projects on Peterborough's map. The evidence says we should be positive about this city. Come and see why.

Pep Cipriano - COO - Peterborough Positive

Creating a vibrant city centre for all.

Pep will explore the work being done to create a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving city centre for everyone in our community. Looking ahead to another five years of Peterborough Positive, Pep will share some of the organisation's key initiatives and future plans, alongside an update on city centre regeneration and wider investment. The session will highlight the positive changes taking place across Peterborough and the opportunities ahead as businesses, organisations, and communities work together to support the city's continued growth.

Jack Pishhorn - COO - Peterborough Cathedral

Heart of the City: Building Partnerships for Peterborough's Future

An introduction to the Cathedral's Heart of the City business partnership programme. Exploring the vision behind it, the partnerships already taking shape and the opportunity for Peterborough's business community and the Cathedral to work together to help the city thrive.

Meet and connect with local businesses

Of course, in addition to hearing from our key speakers, there will also be a great chance to meet, collaborate and network with other businesses in a welcoming and relaxed meeting.

This event is open to all businesses operating in and around the Peterborough area.

Tickets cost £22.50 per person, including food and car parking.
