    Hegarty, one of the region’s leading law firms, are recruiting an experienced Associate Level Solicitor to lead our Employment department.

    We are looking for someone ambitious who wants to take the next step in their career development by driving the expansion of the department. There are future partnership prospects for the right candidate.

    You’ll have a proven track record in representing employers and employees, working both on employment cases as well as supporting colleagues in other departments and have a network of professional contacts and referrers.

    You will be joining a modern and dynamic team that fully supports each and every individual, ensuring that everyone has a great work-life balance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Represent a wide range of private and public sector clients on all aspects of employment law.
    • Advising on the full range of employment tribunal litigation.
    • Mentoring and developing the employment team.

    Person Specification:

    • Partnership aspirations.
    • Strong technical, drafting and client management skills.
    • Strong communication skills, able to understand the client’s objectives and explain options in an accessible manner.
    • Confident advocate.
    • Personable, compassionate and confident with good commercial awareness.
    • To undertake appropriate continuing education to update and retain that knowledge. 
    • Highly organised and able to work under pressure to specific deadlines.
