We were pleased to welcome over 100 business professionals to Peterborough Cathedral on Tuesday 13th October for a special networking event exploring the regeneration, investment and partnerships shaping the city's future.
Organised, hosted and sponsored by Hegarty, founders of Your Business Network, Peterborough Business Network in the ‘Heart of the City’ was delivered in partnership with Peterborough Cathedral as part of its Heart of the City campaign.
The event brought together over 100 business owners, professionals and representatives from organisations across Peterborough for an evening of discussion and networking in the grand surroundings of one of the city's most recognisable landmarks.
Under the theme ‘At the heart of business. At the heart of Peterborough.’, the evening highlighted the positive developments taking place across the city and the importance of collaboration in supporting its continued growth.
Guests heard from three prominent local business and community leaders, each offering a different perspective on Peterborough's future.

Pep Cipriano, Chief Operating Officer of Peterborough Positive, discussed the work being undertaken to create a vibrant and welcoming city centre, including regeneration initiatives, investment and plans for the Business Improvement District's next five years.

Jack Pishhorn, Chief Operating Officer of Peterborough Cathedral, explored the Cathedral's Heart of the City business partnership initiative and how closer relationships with the local business community can support the city's economic, cultural and community life.

Al Kingsley MBE, Group CEO of NetSupport Limited, considered Peterborough's future through the connection between education, skills and economic growth, highlighting the opportunities that investment and developing local talent can create for the city.
For us, the event held particular significance. Having been established in Peterborough in 1974, we have been part of the city's business community for more than 50 years, supporting local individuals, families and businesses throughout that time.
Through initiatives such as Your Business Network, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to bringing businesses together, encouraging collaboration and contributing positively to the communities we serve.
"Having been part of Peterborough for more than 50 years, we are proud of our connection to the city and the businesses and people who make it such a great place to work and live.
"Welcoming over 100 people to Peterborough Cathedral for this special event was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the positive developments taking place across the city and bring people together to discuss what lies ahead.
"We would like to thank Peterborough Cathedral, our speakers and everyone who attended for helping to make the evening such a success. We hope the conversations and connections made will continue to benefit Peterborough's business community."
The evening also provided opportunities for guests to network and enjoy food provided by Chef de la Maison, with the Cathedral offering a memorable setting for conversations about the city's future.
The Cathedral evening was a special highlight in Your Business Network’s established programme of events, which regularly brings businesses together across Peterborough and Rutland to make connections and hear from engaging guest speakers.
The next Rutland Business Network event is at Rutland Hall Hotel on Tuesday 27th October and welcomes Mark Saxby of Status Social for practical advice on getting more from social media. Peterborough Business Network returns to The Bull Hotel on Tuesday 10th November, where Rupert and Angela Turton of Blue Dragonfly Insights will explore how good financial controls help businesses grow with confidence.
Both events offer local business owners and professionals the opportunity to gain practical insights, exchange ideas and develop valuable connections. There is no membership fee to join Your Business Network, simply book and pay for the events you wish to attend.
