    The Charities

    Charities

    3 Pillars Trust

'The 3 Pillars - Feeding the homeless Trust' was conceived by Mick Pescod and Ged Dempsey Freemasons from the Province of Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire.

This Charity is run by Freemasons and is a Masonic Charity but friends and anyone who would care to assist are very welcome to join us.

Initially, we undertook a number of trial runs at the car park of the Brewery Tap in Peterborough on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and after 8 weeks we now feed and offer clothing and bedding to over 60 people per night.

    Hope Against Cancer

Hope Against Cancer was founded in 2003 by Allison Wilson CBE who, having been diagnosed with cancer, was told by a consultant that local research facilities in Leicestershire and Rutland would help improve outcomes for local people with cancer.

Since then, we have been supporting research which directly benefits local people, families and communities. This knowledge is shared with the wider scientific community to help national and international efforts to overcome cancer which also increases the reputation of Leicestershire and Rutland as a centre for cutting edge research and care.

    Wake House

Wake House is a Community Centre housed in a Grade II Listed building offering a variety of rooms to hire for groups, events and meetings in the heart of Bourne.

The building is historically important as the birthplace of Charles Frederick Worth, son of a local solicitor, who founded the famous Paris fashion house ‘The House of Worth’ and is seen within the fashion industry as the ‘Father of Haute Couture’.
