Ashley Sutherland joined Hegarty Solicitors in 2008 after studying at De Montfort University in Leicester. She qualified as a solicitor with the firm in 2010 and has now been appointed a partner.
Ashley specialises in
corporate law and is the firm’s contract specialist. Ashley reviews, prepares and negotiates contracts of all types including trading terms and conditions, software, data protection and intellectual property licences and contracts, construction agreements and supply, as well as agency and distribution agreements. She also advises on mergers, acquisitions and disposals. In addition to commercial contract work, Ashley works closely with all types of businesses advising them on the best business structure for their needs and advises and prepares shareholder and partnership agreements.[caption id="attachment_3952" align="alignright" width="300"]
Martin Banwell[/caption]Ashley commented “I am delighted to accept the promotion to partner. Martin Banwell,
Wills, Trusts and Probate solicitor, based at Hegarty Solicitors’ Peterborough office, has been promoted to associate. Martin qualified as a solicitor in 2013 and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, the Law Society’s Private Client section of lawyers and is an associate member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP). Martin specialises in all aspects of Wills, Trusts and Probate law.

Leanne Pugh[/caption]
Leanne Pugh, based at the firm’s Oakham office has also been promoted to Conveyancing Executive. Leanne has worked in
Conveyancing since 1999 and joined Hegarty Solicitors in 2015 as a paralegal and specialises in new build and help to buy transactions.
