Cara joined Hegarty in 2023 and works in our Wills, Trusts, and Probate department as an Associate Solicitor.
Working as a Private Client Solicitor, she helps clients plan for their futures, advising them on a variety of areas including; making and reviewing Wills, setting up and running trusts, estate administration, and care of the elderly. Cara has over 16 years experience in this area and has dealt with numerous high value and cross border estates and complex Court of Protection applications.
Cara also has expertise in advising individuals and families involved in farming and agriculture. She is married to a farmer herself, and is therefore able to combine her personal experience with years of advising other farming families on issues including estate and succession planning.
Cara is a full qualified member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estates Practitioner) and an active member of the STEP East Midlands Branch Committee having been chair from 2021 to 2023.
Outside of work, she enjoys walks with her family, reading a good book, and playing in the orchestra she is a member of.
