Melissa is an experienced Legal Secretary who has worked with in family law for more than 20 years. Alongside working within a family law department, Melissa studied towards her CILEX qualification, completing Level 3. She later spent nine years with a firm specialising exclusively in family law, where she gained extensive experience working directly with clients as well as providing secretarial support.
As part of the Hegarty Family Law team, Melissa supports both clients and fee earners with the day-to-day progression of matters. Her responsibilities include opening and closing files, preparing correspondence and legal documents, assisting with billing, and communicating with clients by telephone and email. With her many years of family law experience, Melissa is well placed to assist clients with their queries and help ensure they feel supported throughout their matter.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, going to the theatre, reading, and visiting different restaurants.
