Michael Blank is a highly experienced Commercial Property specialist who qualified as a solicitor in 1988, having completed his training in London. He has practised in Peterborough since 1994 and joined Hegarty as a Legal Director in February 2026.
Michael acts for a wide range of clients across both the private and public sectors, including property developers and investors, funding institutions, NHS trusts and local authorities. He has experience representing both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases and is known for providing clear, pragmatic advice tailored to each client’s objectives.
He is also a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association, reflecting his particular expertise in rural and agricultural property matters.
Michael’s experience includes:
- Acting in the sale and purchase of development land and commercial buildings
- Advising farmers on the sale and purchase of agricultural land and diversification projects
- Acquisition and disposal of hotels
- Drafting and negotiating conditional contracts, options and overage agreements
- Drafting and negotiating commercial leases
- Property financing and refinancing
Away from the office, Michael enjoys going to concerts, watching cricket and rugby, and exploring the countryside with his labrador and highly energetic spaniel.
