Sharon is an experienced Legal Secretary with over 35 years of experience in the legal profession. Having worked at several law firms throughout her career, primarily within family law but also across a range of other legal departments, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Sharon joined Hegarty in April 2024 following the firm’s acquisition of Belinda Smith & Co.
As part of the Hegarty Family Law team, Sharon provides valuable support to both clients and fee earners throughout the progression of a matter. Her varied responsibilities include carrying out client identity checks, opening new files, preparing correspondence and legal documents, handling telephone and email enquiries, assisting with invoicing and closing files once matters have concluded.
Sharon regularly communicates with clients by telephone, email and in person, helping with queries and ensuring they receive the support they need. She particularly enjoys the variety of her role, where no two days are the same, and takes pride in helping clients progress their matters towards a resolution during what can often be a difficult period in their lives.
Outside of work, Sharon enjoys travelling, watching films and spending time with her family and pets.
