Stephanie joined Hegarty in September 2024 and is based at the firm’s Bourne office, where she works alongside Emma McGrath in the Family Law team and Alice Clarke in the Wills, Trusts & Probate team.
With more than 35 years of experience working within law firms, Stephanie has supported a wide range of legal departments throughout her career, with particular experience in Family Law and Wills, Trusts & Probate.
As the first point of contact for many clients visiting or contacting the Bourne office, Stephanie plays an important role in ensuring they receive a friendly and helpful welcome. Her varied role includes supporting the day-to-day running of the office, handling new enquiries, opening and closing files, carrying out client identity checks, preparing and formatting legal documents, managing diaries, assisting with invoicing and liaising with clients throughout their matters.
Stephanie enjoys the variety her role offers but particularly values the opportunity to get to know clients and support them from their initial enquiry through to the conclusion of their matter. She takes pride in providing approachable and reliable support, particularly at times when clients may be dealing with difficult or stressful circumstances.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking, and sewing. She particularly enjoys putting her creative skills to use making novelty cakes for birthdays and other celebrations.
