Hegarty Solicitors staff members wear purple to support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Hegarty Solicitors are participating in a “Wear Purple to Work” charity dress down day in support of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer. This is a special charity to the firm as we are participating in honour of one of our colleagues, Vanessa Walker.Vanessa’s husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he tragically passed away a couple of weeks ago at his home with his family by his side.Vanessa and her family have tried to react positively to the situation, by participating in Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Her twin sons secured places in the Virgin London Marathon, and they will be running in support of Pancreatic Cancer UK and in memory of their father. This is a charity that is severely underfunded and there has been very little improvement in life expectancy during the last 40 years. We hope to raise as many funds as possible to show our support for Vanessa and her family and to help find a cure for pancreatic cancer. If you would like to support Vanessa’s sons to help them raise money for more research into pancreatic cancer, you can make a donation to their JustGiving page here.
