This week Hegarty are participating in Make a Will week to support the Air Ambulance Service.
During this week, we will be waiving our fees for a limited number of basic Wills and for amendments to existing Wills. In return, we encourage you to leave a gift in your Will to the Air Ambulance Service. Gifts in Wills fund 1 in 7 of the Air Ambulance missions and therefore, your gift will make a great difference in helping a generous cause.
The Air Ambulance Service manages the national Children's Air Ambulance and the local ambulance services for Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland.
The Children's Air Ambulance provides a national service to critically ill children by flying them to and from various hospitals for specialist treatments.
As for the local air ambulance services, they have two helicopters that are used to respond to trauma and medical emergencies in Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland. On average, it takes the air ambulance 13 minutes to respond to such medical emergencies.
The Air Ambulance services are solely funded by donations and the government does not provide any types of funds for the service.
