Jo began working for Hegarty in 2016 and is the firm’s Practice Manager and Money Laundering Compliance Officer. She is also a fully qualified mental health first aider.
She works in the Practice Support team providing the support, equipment, facilities, policies, procedures, and controls that enable the legal team to provide the incredible bespoke service we offer to our clients.
Jo trained as a commercial insurance underwriter before taking a career break to raise her children. She then moved into law as a family law clerk, followed by a move into military supply chain work, earning a team commendation on the late Queen’s birthday honours list before moving to a US based power generation company.
She describes Hegarty as her “forever home” and says, “My role allows me to use the skills I’ve learnt throughout my career whilst still providing opportunities to learn something new and challenge myself.”
Outside of work Jo is an enthusiastic cook and gardener, who loves being outside and spending as much time as she can with her family in Provence.
