    Kelly Trevett

    Associate Solicitor | Family Law

Kelly qualified as a solicitor in 1998 at a busy practice in Enfield. She joined Belinda Smith & Co in 2018 and was appointed Senior Associate at Hegartys in 2025.

During her extensive career, Kelly has worked almost exclusively in family law and is an expert in divorce and relationship breakdown, including the challenges of dividing financial assets on divorce or separation, as well as dealing with separation and premarital agreements, and resolving cohabitee disputes regarding property or assets between parties who are unmarried.

Kelly has a vast amount of experience in resolving cases concerning complicated assets, numerous properties and multiple pensions, including those held with occupational final salary schemes as well as with the Local Government, Civil Service, NHS, Police, Armed Forces and the Teachers’ Pension schemes.

Kelly is able to utilise her many years of experience in family law to ensure that a fair settlement is reached, whether that is an out of Court agreement or one obtained through contested proceedings in the Family Court (if required), and is able to guide you confidently and calmly through every stage of the process involved.

Kelly is a long-standing member of Resolution, an organisation of solicitors and other professionals who are committed to resolving family breakdowns in a constructive and non-confrontation manner and Kelly upholds their ethos in every aspect of her work, with the aim of ensuring that the very best outcome is reached for the family as a whole.

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys travelling, the theatre, gardening, hiking and spending time with her family.
