She completed her training contract at a London law firm in 2003 and she was working for a Holborn law firm before she joined our Stamford Office in June 2016.
From the outset, Pavinder aims to help clients explore all options with a view to providing practical solutions to problems.
Pavinder has been described as conscientious when advocating on behalf of her clients; she is clear and precise on the advice she gives her clients and is firm in her approach when negotiating divorce, financial settlements or cohabitation disputes between couples who are not married as well as all children’s issues.
Pavinder’s expertise in family law includes advising clients on prenuptial agreements, separation agreements, divorce, all financial matters and pension sharing and all aspects of private children disputes including living arrangements, contact disputes involving parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and unrelated parties.
For 8 years, Pavinder has been accredited as a specialist family law solicitor in domestic violence and private children law, with Resolution, which is a national organisation of Family Solicitors, which means that she has high expertise in these areas of law. Pavinder is also fluent in Punjabi.
Reported cases:
H –v- J (2004) EWHC 2901 QB: where the court determined the civil standard of proof applied to injunctions under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
LB Islington –v-EV (2010) EWHC Fam 3204: Representation of maternal grandmother in care proceedings in which Justice Eleanor King decided the appropriate course of action to place a child abroad is statute (namely paragraph 19 of schedule 2 of Children Act 1989) and not wardship.
Pavinder is a member of the chamber of commerce and attends regular events to support local business and organisations in the community.
In her spare time, Pavinder enjoys jogging, yoga, swimming, learning new languages and travelling.
