New office in Bourne and a growing team mark our 50th year

2024 so far has been an exciting year for Hegarty. Not only has our 50th year seen us carrying out 50 community and charity initiatives, but it has also seen us continue on our journey of growth.

With a new office opening in Bourne later this year, taking over the space that used to be Barclays Bank on the main street in the town, this will allow us to offer our legal services to more local people, whilst staying true to our local firm ethos by being in the heart of the local community.

Following the opening of our 4th office in Market Deeping last year, the opening of an office in Bourne will take us to 5 offices in the local area, a great milestone to mark our 50th year.

Along the same path of growth, our team has also continued to expand in recent months. We spoke to a few of them about their time with us so far:

    Fareeda Malik

Fareeda joined Hegarty in March and works as a solicitor in our dispute resolution team.

Why did you choose to join Hegarty?

Hegarty is a well-known local legal firm and has a good presence within the community. I wanted to stay local and found Hegarty’s culture to match what I was looking for.

How have you found it working at Hegarty so far?

I am enjoying my work with Hegarty and have a great team whom I work with. I am very well supported by my supervisor and Head of Department, as well as the rest of the litigation team.

    Andrew Boullemier

Joining us at the start in June, Andrew Boullemier is now one of Hegarty’s conveyancing executives based at our Peterborough office.

How are you finding it at Hegarty so far?

Great; Supportive, pleasant working environment and excellent systems, remarkably stress-free so far!

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

Building on and developing professional relationships. Being afforded the opportunity to grow my knowledge, skills and experience with a firm which supports that. Having the chance to get to know and understand clients in a way that Hegarty’s customer service philosophy allows us to.

Why did you choose to join Hegarty?

A mix; the reputation of the firm in and around Peterborough, the expansion and growth plans and the investment in their staff and methods of working

    Hardeep Chumber

Our newest starter, Hardeep Chumber is a solicitor in our wills, trusts and probate department, joining the firm in June.

Why did you choose to come and work at Hegarty?

I chose to work at Hegarty due to the firm's reputation and values in the way they treat clients and their staff. I wanted to be part of a progressive firm with a strategy for growing and developing and who are market leaders in the area.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role?

I am looking forward to continuing my personal development working as part of a dynamic and inclusive team and undertaking my STEP qualification.

    Amrita Dayal

Amrita joined Hegarty as a Partner of the firm earlier this year and works as a solicitor in our commercial property team.

What are 3 words to describe how you are finding it at Hegarty so far?

    Friendly, inclusive, and welcoming.

    Why did you choose Hegarty?

It had a nice feel to it when I came in for my interview and felt very much like the last firm I worked at down south, which I was very sad to leave.

What are you enjoying and looking forward to continuing in your role?

Getting to know the local commercial property market and local clients and developing a relationship with them.
