Chris is an expert in advising clients in respect of the division of assets when their marriage breaks down. He is able to apply the years of experience he has gained representing clients in the Family Court in order to give an early indication of the likely outcome if their case does not settle. This often helps clients avoid contested Court proceedings because they understand the realistic parameters for any negotiations.
Chris is a member of Resolution and holds their Accreditation as a Specialist Lawyer in Complex Financial Remedies (1 and 2) which covers modest assets and income cases as well as cases involving high to exceptional assets and income. He has held that Accreditation continuously since 2015.
As a member of Resolution Chris is signed up to a Code of Practice that promotes a constructive approach to family issues. For more information on what being a member of Resolution means visit www.resolution.org.uk.
Chris is a qualified Collaborative Family Lawyer. The collaborative approach is a non-adversarial, solution-focussed approach to dealing with issues on divorce or separation. The approach is beneficial for those looking for a better foundation for post-separation relationships, as well as maintaining communication, control and a commitment to resolving issues outside of court throughout the process.
Chris Brown is listed as a Leading Lawyer by Wiselaw.
Outside of work Chris likes to keep fit, play football and tennis. When he is not watching the Arsenal, he is spending time with his wife and family.
